"Do not go here if you have an allergy or special request......cause Chef won’t do it and you will be kicked out ! My wife has an egg allergy so we are quite used to being careful when eating out and ordering. Tonight we made...the mistake of trying Twohans. We sat down looked at the menu, then completed our order on the sheet of paper they provide and wrote on the bottom about the egg allergy and what dishes my wife had order so the could make sure they were egg free. I then handed this to the waitress and explained about the allergy and could she check with the chef if these were ok. Without checking she tells me no they have egg in them at this stage I am thinking wow she knows her stuff then she tells me they don’t have seperate oil, so egg items are cooked in the same oil, I tell her that ok as long as there’s no egg in the dish, so my wife changes her order, then I am told there’s egg in items we buy in from our suppliers and we don’t know , to which I said surely if you are buying food in it must be declared on the label can’t you just check , to which without speaking to the kitchen or the Chef she said no our Chef won’t take the risk. I said as long as there’s no egg in the dish it will be fine and the reply again was no our Chef won’t do.... Sooo This is the first time in over 40 years we have had to leave a restaurant because they won’t cater for a allergy. As I said before we eat out a lot and understand there are some menu items that my wife just can’t have and we are fine with that, but to be told NO the Chef won’t do that without checking with the kitchen or Chef is VERY POOR FORM ! I myself am a qualified Chef with over 40 years experience working In the hospitality industry and Twohans, that is where you work ...IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY how about you be a bit hospitable and do your best to cater for customers with allergies, it was not like we were being difficult, we were trying to work out what my wife could eat and your staff made it very clear we were not welcome ! So we went 300 mts up the road and had a nice meal and the restaurant was more than accomodating, as every restaurant has always been except YOURS"

"Let's start with the food, it is very well made and tastes delicious. The food is fresh and home-made, they have great coffee, outside and indoor seating, good cleaning practices, the toilets are clean, the restaurant sells extra Trinkets and food items plus they have a wide variety of items to eat. The decoration is very nice with a mix of old style and modern. It has a very nice vibe with air-conditioning and fast service. Honestly can't think of any negatives other than the fact they didn't check if we were double vaxed. Would recommend."

"Made the short drive from the coast to Bent on Food after seeing reviews. Sunday lunch time and it was hectic. The staff were amazing and we were informed there would be a wait on food before seating. Great coffees came promptly and we were happy to relax and wait. The salmon and the roast vegetable salad were both lovely and filling. We couldn't fit cake so bought some to go. Certainly worth the drive."

"Had just driven from the Gold Coast and the family felt like pizza, the shop was only open for take away and we were going to eat outside. But Robert the owner let us in to be seated and the crew made us two of the best pizza we have eaten on the east coast, little shop, big hearts and the best pizza with tonnes of toppings and great tasting. We will definitely stop here again, thanks guys."
