We went here for a wedding. As an event venue, it was beautiful. The hotel itself is great. The rooms, well at least my room, was a little too small and a bit dark. Not my general taste. I got a room with double beds but didn't realize it would be double full-size beds. That could have totally been my lack of reading. View all feedback.
What Yolanda Smith doesn't like about Concierge Lounge At The Westchester Marriot:
Our last night at the hotel, the valve on the heater malfunctioned in our room(608).The room was so noisy. It definately disturb our peace. The maintenance person made an attempt to fix it but it was late and his shift was about to end. Eventually the noise subsided. But I was so nervous that something bad was going to happen in the middle of the night that I couldn't rest. It's too bad that experience left a lasting... View all feedback.
Stood here 2 nights for a wedding. One of the worst hotels I've stood at. First 1 role of toilet paper for 3 people 1 bar of soap. Every hotel I was at offered free coffee all day not this place it cost $3.96 cents a cup. No exhaust fan and very dark bathroom. Hated the elevators and parking. The brunch which was paid for wasn't great I had to ask for bread there was scrambled eggs bacon and sausage bagels and muffins and fruit. No waffles or oatmeal. At any other hotel this is free. Continental breakfast which isn't great was better than this paid for brunch.
Stayed here for a wedding and the place is definitely worn down. Not sure why the wedding block has people all over the hotel. Dust on fixtures, bathroom shower gel smelled like something I'd use to scrub floors at home. Outdated lobby, unfriendly front desk. I asked for some extra towels and received towels that were supposedly white but looked like they had been used to wash a car! Stay somewhere else.
I have already filed a claim after the incident occurred with a phone representative and have yet received an update or have been compensated appropriately for what occurred during my stay. Monday April 3, 2023 at approximately 10:30am, an unknown individual who didn’t identify themselves knocked on the door and immediately attempted to enter the room. They didn’t wait for an answer they just opened the door. Luckily the security guard lock was on and the unknown individual could not completely open the door. Soon after they realized that the lock was on, they immediately went on the elevator. This encounter made me extremely uncomfortable and scared. Thankfully, my partner was there during the time this occurred. On top of this the day before we had requested a service around 5-6pm and it was not fulfilled until 11pm. I brought up my concerns at the time of check out and was offered points for all that occurred during my stay which I am uncomfortable with and don’t believe was the appropriate way of handling this situation. Someone could have been hurt and I do not take these things lightly since I have been a victim of violence in the past. I will continue to reach out until this matter has appropriately been dealt with. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
My family was staying at the hotel and we had dinner Saturday night. I can say that coppers has the best food in town and the best, caring, attentive and amazing people working there. We were so happy because we finally met chef Bradley Freckleton, he was walking around the dining room, making sure everyone was enjoying the moment. He was so attentive to each table. He takes coopers to another level. An outstanding chef!!! Maria the restaurant manager she was amazing as always, she came to our table making sure the food and drinks were to the perfection. She is an outstanding manager with high standards of F&B. The servers were amazing Guillermo, Randy and a lady that I don’t remember her name made of our dining experience to a different level. I’m from Dobbs Ferry and I love to come to Coppers Mill.
The property is far from new but much better than some reviews have portrayed. My wife and I had a long term 7 night stay and certainly got the chance to know the property. I am a Titanium guest and was placed on the 10th floor (room 1002) which has a small balcony. Floors 9 10 are on the concierge level. The club room was open Monday to Friday evening with light fare (including a hot breakfast) and an honor bar. The room was cleaned daily with no questions asked. The workout room is top shelf with Peloton bikes and treads as well as free weights and a lot of other equipment. The staff during all encounters was friendly and helpful. So why not five stars. The property is not new, but not falling down or in disrepair either. The pool area in the center of the build is closed indefinitely. Our room had a bit of a smell. These deficiencies in my view are offset by a reasonable room rate (these days) and the quality of the staff.
