I had the papillote de saumon with frites, kids pastas, husband pizza margarita. 4 soft drinks and bottle water. Cost Eur 69. Everyone enjoyed their lunch after intensive 4 hours kayaking and pedal boating through the gorges next door. Place is simple and spare, service efficient and no-nonsense. We have been welcomed by the boss, in an almost insulting way. When sitting at the table, no one would come and take our order. After 40 minutes waiting, we decided to leave. There’s no restroom for men! View all feedback.

Expect to sit on the lake, but turns out to be situated in an unpkeasent shed. Ordered moule frites since there was not much more choice. Moules were overcooked...

"I was on pilgrimage to St. Maximin in mid-november and my whole trip was guided even to the point of visiting this unique restaurant. I was travelling alone and Olivier made me most welcome. I was delighted when he could speak English as my French was pretty poor. We had a good chat and I sampled his excellent food which was delicious; needless to say I went back the following evening for more and met friends who I I will go and see again. A wonderful find and surely one of the best in St. Maximin. Olivier takes great pride in preparing his dishes with lots of little details."
