Even though this is definitely a French speaking part of the country they were very tolerant of us Americans. The food was great. The service was good.

"Petite Auberge acceuillante et reposante, table pour le souper et le déjeuner a ne pas manquer. Nouuriture plus qu'excellente habituellement je ne donne jamais la note 5 parce que la perfection n'existe pas , mais la je suis obliger de mettre 5. Nous tenons a remercier nos hotes Liette pour les choix de vin , Huques pour les repas fantastiques, nos serveurs Marc-Antoine et Phillipe, Marjo aide cuisinière, nos plongeurs Michael et Jacob et sans oublier Rina responsable de l'entretien des chambres et aussi du service le marin.A la Prochaine."

"We saw this pub while driving along looking for a place to dine, before checking into our Inn for the night, in Cabano. We dined inside, as the evening was damp, cool re. rain. There is a front, outdoor patio, which can be covered. The 2 of us had a lovely meal. We each had the combo of small veggie pizza with spaghetti bolognese. It was delicious. The atmosphere was nice, noisy with alot of people chatting.The service was slow tho'!! From the time we ordered until the time the meal arrived, it was 40 minutes. Not sure what was wrong, but the staff were rushed off their feet, so the slowness wasn't due to the staff just shuffling about. My husband later noticed (when we were eating our meal) that other tables had bread baskets, and we didn't. That would have been good to have, while we waited for our meals!I gave this a lower rating, due to the slow service, no breads, and there was a correction to be made on our bill at the cashier desk. Also gave lower tip due to all this, which we hardly ever do! We didn't return to this pub, for our supper, on our return route from PEI, even tho' we stayed at the same Inn again. We might give it another try again, if we stay in Cabano. ?????"

"The food was great. Home made burger (Votes together type of sloppy though) and poutine! We ordered a large to share and it was big enough to feed 4 people. The ice cream is super creamy and amazing. We have two drinks, two burgers and... a massive poutine for $20! Great place if you're on a budget. Clean, outdoor seats and friendly staff."
