Having come on a personal recommendation as well as Trip Advisor reviews, we were a little disappointed in Grotto Scalinata. Sitting outside was fine, but not anything special. The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered standard grotto fare, i.e., the polenta dish of the day for me and a gnocchi dish for my wife, but the food was just average.
