My in-laws insisted we visit Mumford's after they had such a great experience, only the night before, and I'm glad we did! The waitress, Lindsay, was very considerate and remembered their names and that we were visiting. We were all happy with our orders, my fish View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mumford's:
I could have made her better at home. They had quite no taste and nothing on them. Sauce was almost not existent and bland. Batter was a little mad. In any case, you need more of a sauce and a kind of... bullshit on top.... not creative at all. Also the bathroom was terrible... no castle on the stable and there was no water from the tap.... I'm sure this place makes enough to update or at least repair the bathroom. View all feedback.

Cocktails and appys. The locally made (Sherwood Mountain Brewery) brown ale was really good and the calamari was more than acceptable. Nice building. However. The pomme frite (specialty fries)? with herbs and parmesan was way too salty. And I suppose we were a little too close to closing time as they turned off the TV I'd been kinda watching while trying to convince the wife I was listening intently to each and every one of her words.I'll be visiting the Sherwood Mountain Brewery to take some of that brown ale home with me.
So I was referred by a local to go to this place as being amazing! It was her go to place blah blah blah. Well she must not get out much. Apparently the chef was brought in from back east ..... well I don't know where they found the chef but I would not be raving about the chef ever. I had the gnocchi. It wa ms covered in some weird greenery. Asparagus chopped up weirdly. Fiddleheads which are good but not really for this dish. The sauce was some weird pesto like concoction under the gnocchi. There was some roasted tomato and artichoke hearts surrounding the plate as well? Weird. No real flavor. I had a 6 oz glass of white wine. (Nothing special $9! ). I had a side Caesar. And a side chicken breast. I didn't get my salad before my meal. The chicken breast came on top of my salad. ?? I asked for Parmesan cheese. She Brought over a small mini cup of Parmesan flakes (which I got charged $1 for!). What!? When I got the bill for over $47 with too over $50! I asked her what the $1 was for and she said the dip? Pardon? The cheese she said. I said you may want to tell people you are charging them a whole $1 for Parmesan cheese! When I got a pasta dish AND a Caesar salad. And I was charged $6 for a side Caesar And $6 for a side of chicken? Ok wow no value for $ here and the food was not what I was expecting. Sorry. I did not like it. My company had a chicken burger and a beer. She was just as unimpressed. NOT to mention I felt like there Was no ventilation in the restaurant and I felt like we were sitting in a greasy kitchen. I feel like it's in my clothes and my hair! The restaurant was definitely dated and in need of an overhaul! I understand it's new owners. But they need to put some time or money into the pub cause it's in need of a serious makeover. My company had trouble breathing and was complaining of her throats hurting from the greasy feel if the air. Don't like giving negative reviews but the nicest part of this place was the outside of the building!
Great staff, food and menu. Open and bright. Local beers on tap. Worth the short drive from town centre. Had the Havardi, asparagus and chicken sandwich. Two thumbs up to this burger alt.
Nice roomy restaurant with good service and local brews. We ordered burgers and they made changes to our orders no problem. Service was good, ambiance was good. Reservation are a good idea.
