What Jojo likes about George and Dragon:
The George is always a lovely pub to visit, either for a pint mid walk or for Sunday Lunch (which was this time for us). We’ve been twice in the past 3 months and it’s been great both times. The team have really managed well considering all the Covid issues in 2020. We will definitely be visiting again soon read more.

The place also offers the possibility to sit outside and be served in nice weather, And into the accessible rooms also come customers with wheelchairs or physical limitations.

What CraigC doesn't like about George and Dragon:
Poor food quality. Vegetables and Yorkshire Puddings were clearly left for some time before serving, they were very dry. Also, not a lot of food for a £16 roast. read more.

Definitely overpriced, Sunday roast not good value , Yorkshire puddings more like cake ! Vege. Undercooked and two potatoes ! Not great

"I felt I should share with others and let the venue know that they should be looking to make improvements. I appreciate that times are very different that means moving with those times, but this in my opinion was a step too far. The...menu – extremely limited; burgers chips, scampi chips, ham, egg chips, lasagne, curry and a chicken salad. I think that the landlord chef put together a menu that was quick and easy to serve and looked at how they could make maximum profit by putting cheap items on the menu. There was no steak, no pork, no chicken (other than a salad) and no lamb. We ordered Halloumi sticks chicken wings to start and we couldn’t believe that just chicken wings appeared. The original price for this starter is (of course it was discounted so perhaps they thought that they would scale down the portion Can you imagine how gutted you would be if you paid the full price for this starter? Both of us opted for the burgers just because we really struggled to find anything else to take our fancy. The original price on their burgers being This burger was as flat as a pancake and looked like a burger you would serve from the children’s menu. It would not have looked out of place on a Macdonald’s drive through. Poor show from this pub. Guessing scaled down the food offering to match the discounted price but to be honest, even paying the discount price, I left feeling like I did not receive value for money, it was our first visit our last sadly."
