"Customer service was amazing. The restaurant is clean and it has lots of options. The portions are huge. Unfortunately, the food itself is very bland. Even the salsa didn’t have that much. "My wife and I were going to eat. They asked where I would like to go eat. I said I wanted just plain ole good Merkin food. Not from a pretend to be chain store either. My geandson said, I know just the place. We arrived at The Lunch Box. On sight I had questions, but onward we went. Rustic might be the description. Once inside, the place was packed. Today 's menu was on a board behind the register. You could choose meats, after picking your meat, the sides are all order of the day. The staff was excellent and attentive. The food was served quickly, and hot. It was not mama 's cooking, but mama would have liked to eat there. That good! Now get this! $9.00 tax included, with salad and dessert thrown in. Listen, if you live in Texarkana and like good home cooking, you have to try The Lunch Box. Enjoy!"
