The chicken at this restaurant is delicious and the fries are perfectly seasoned. The staff is extremely friendly and the portion sizes are generous, making it well worth the price. I would highly recommend dining in for dinner at this establishment, as the food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect 5 rating. Some recommended dishes include the Dr. Pepper, Philly Cheesesteak, and the Chicken and Fries. View all feedback.
What Juan Sanchez doesn't like about Chips N Ales:
Horrible. Wasn't even busy and waited an hour. Their excuse was they had a new person putting the food out at the window while everyone else walked around not helping or going to the back and stood around. Then we got our food and the chicken strips looked burnt but the fryer grease looked charcoal black from not being taken care of. Need better management. This place has gone downhill big time. The fish (ked) and chips ( ferry) and very good. it is enough for 2 people, unless you are very hungry. Surprisingly, the fish was not too fat. the pommes were something too salty for me. there was a small **** of cole Slav. they also have fried chicken and fried garnel. if they don't want nothing fried, they also have burger and sandwiches.
I would have given this place a 4 out of 5 stars, because the prices were good and the portions, but they have forgotten my pleasure on my philli and it would have used a little more cheese. they had a good menu with fair trips. the fries were great!
Food was outstanding but it would have been better if they had vinegar instead of tartar sauce, it would have tasted better
After playing in the casino for a few hours, we decided to stop in here for a late-night snack around 11:00pm. There were only a few people eating when we walked in the door, I ordered the Irish Nachos (fries’ w/toppings), and my spouse ordered the Chips (fries). While we stood there to pay, I looked behind us and noticed a swarm of people in line. Like this place really fills up fast. The restaurant closes at midnight, so maybe everyone decided to come before closing. The staff wasn’t overly friendly, and almost all of them looked tired. Maybe because it was 11pm?We paid for our food and sat down. Our food was on our table within 7 minutes or less. My Irish nachos came with jalapeños, sour cream, and cheese. I had them remove the bacon, as I don’t eat meat. The fries were pretty good, not too greasy, however, the fries at the bottom of the basket were just a little over cooked. So, I didn’t eat those. They don’t have options here for Veg Heads, other than fries. Unless you order the chicken, tender salad and have them remove the chicken.Overall, I thought the atmosphere was nice, and the fries were tasty.
I love this place so much, I had to make a stop for the fish n chips when I passed through today. They got some of the best nachos I ever had and the fish n chips are the real deal.
