What Stevie Moeller likes about El Charro:
I've lived in and out of the area my whole life. I returned to Houston and have visited El Charro every chance I had. Every item is always hot and fresh. Great queso and salsa. Good margaritas. Cozy atmosphere. The staff is polite and accomodating. No other tex-mex restaurant compares, in my eyes, for the area..! View all feedback.

What Alma Olivia Almanza doesn't like about El Charro:
1st timer here. Prices are too high for the quality of food. I never say this but it 's mediocre/sub-par. Arandas next door would have been better. They are stretching the meats and it 's embarrassingly obvious. Cheese enchiladas are flat, needs more filling. The main parillada entree, the $22.50 one has grocery store sausage and disappointingly burnt beef cut into thin strips. Guacamole salad that 's guac, right? No it 's onions, cilantro tomato, jalapenos sttttretched with one avocado. $10.95 I wanted one of these classic TexMex places close to home. We will not return. Thank you for the excellent service.

"Hidden neighborhood gem. I don’t even live in the area, and I still go out of my way to come here. A wide variety of super fresh craft beer on tap means I can come back every other week and find something new and fun to try.The atmosphere is also extremely relaxed! Whether for a happy hour or a quieter place to get some work done, I’m always recommending this place to anyone who loves craft beer or even wine"
