If your an Australian you have to go to this pub, just for its location, and that is what I did. It was great to sit inside with a beer and feel the history of the place, which is helped by all the memorabilia around the walls. This was really a great experience. View all feedback.
What Alice Johnson doesn't like about The Observer Hotel:
The beverage menu was extensive and the cocktail list was extensive and the rum range excellent. The quality of the drinks was very good, well presented and enjoyable. We ordered bread dip to enjoy with them but we were still waiting for an hour after the order was placed, after checking twice on the progress so we canceled it as we decided to leave and try somewhere else. The venue was very quiet so no excuses. The... View all feedback.
King of the wings was a pop-up event at the observer hotel, the rocks. the hotel and the event were good to a large crowd with a series of finger food, stone and wood beer on hahn and a series of cocktails free flowing. if patient, there was a lot of wings running around to satisfy the appetit.
Have they ever happened to a place hundred of paintings, but never watch? I couldn't mentally place where the observer hotel was until I was right in front of him on george road opposite the behind entrance of museum of contemporary art. from the outside it appeared as just another erbe pub in the rocks, but inside it was cozy and intimate. we were here to be at the king of wings medium launch party with free flowing beer, cocktails and finger lick good chicken wings. the dark wood interieur gave him an English feeling, perfect for the night when there was drizzling on and out. the staff were very friendly, patiently explain the drinks and menu on...more
Came here for the king of the wings preview pop-up that begins on 3rd mai. it is a large space with a central bar at the entrance and one at the far end of the back of the divided plane labyrinth. it was a large functional room of my opinion that fits comfortably 200 people for a standing reception. the craft beer, spirituosen and weine, which are offered not far from circular quay, make this an ideal box stop. the menu is quite normal to accommodate a large range of local and tourist from the upcoming foot traffic, so I can see how safe and not too adventurous would work here well.
Nothing special. a normal bar with classic irons, drinks, pizzas and Australian classic burgers. our order was good, really delicious, but is not the best pub neither the best place to go into the rocks.
Absolutely disgusted with The Observer Hotel. The management has recently changed and the General Manager Adrian is pathetic on the customer service front. As a patron who has regularly used the Observer Hotel for Meetup function events over the past two years, I will no longer be using this Hotel as a destination again. After calling to reserve a space, he answered the phone rudely informing me that I woke him from a nap. He then spoke over the top of me to explain new changes in hotel procedures, without addressing my questions, he spoke condescendingly before calling me rude for questioning changes and hanging up on me.
