What Stefanos Avlonitis doesn't like about The Rouga:
The reviews about the store are incredibly misleading. Terrible trickery, they found us a table and took our order taka taka. Unfortunately from what was seen only in this they were fast. We saw a dish that we had ordered hours before go to a table that came and ordered much later. After other tables were served from first to last course, we were finally brought the appetizers (medium). After we digested the appetize... View all feedback.

Honestly the veggie moussaka i had was the best vegan dinner i have ever had
Great food, great atmosphere. The vegan menu could have been longer. They have apetizers that are vegan but who are not marked as that. Try the grilled mushrooms!
Tried the rice stuffed vine leaves dolmadakia or ntolmadakia and the mushroom moussaka the gluten version with the béchamel sauce and they were delicious! However keep in mind that the stuffed vine leaves are served with yogurt by default, so you need to notify the staff not to include it. Moreover, one of the other vegan listed dishes contains parmesan which also is not vegan as of June 2022 and should be excluded as well. After the meal, we were served very, VERY, delicious spooned sweets carrot and fig free of charge but not sure if it is the norm or just a one time welcome thing. The manager or owner herself answered all of our questions regarding the ingredients and she seemed to be aware of what vegans do or don 't eat, therefore please do ask if in doubt! The prices are reasonable, but do expect to pay for the bread 1 small round bread per person and the bottled water they just bring the water on the table; kindly ask them for tap water and refuse to accept the bottle if you don 't want it . To be fair, the water cost might be written on the menu, but usually Greeks do not notice or not expect it. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service and we 're definitely going back. Vegan moussaka is rarely found and in my opinion it 's worth a try!
Nice staff and generous portion. Moussaka could be without gluten, just ask. One step at the entry, terrace accessible in wheelchair.
