"This hits all the marks for a solid neighborhood tavern. Bonus you can still get a pitcher of beer here! That alone moves it towards the top of my list of favorite Tacoma taverns. The cheeseburger with french fries were tasty with a nice presentation. If you want a great weekend outing with friends/family, hit the zoo or the trails at Point Defiance and then make this your lunch or early dinner stop."

"Excellent place for a date night dinner. My wife and I went here on the recommendation of a friend after seeing a movie at the Yelm cinema which is connected. Food was excellent it was a ton of fun watching them serve whisky in big vats of smoke (which I will totally be trying next time). My wife had the mushroom burger and I had the cowboy burger. Both were top notch and the fact that their meat all comes from Stewart’s meats locally is a major plus. Prices were fair for 2023 I do wish the burgers came on a larger plate with about twice as many fries as I think that would “make it worth $21” more so. On the specific night we went were DELIGHTED that the ambient music just happened to be the absolute perfect playlist for our Xennial Oregon trial generation demographic. We moved from Dave Mathews band to Blink 182 and everything else early 2000s. Of course the music was at an appropriately low volume so our nearing 40yr old ears weren’t in pain. Kid-friendliness: I think is 21+ full time as a bar. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible to all as the tables were far enough apart to get a wheelchair or scooter around nicely and no stairs or other issues. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Mushroom Swiss Burger, Free Popcorn"
