Think one of timarus busiest fish and chip shop we had 45 min wait to get dinner was worth the wait

Would have given more stars but this time around the chips, fish and hot dogs for two families was so greasy it made for a bad meal. Everyone commented on how greasy the meal was. The paper food was wrapped in was soaked in grease and this is no exaggeration it was bad. Their fish is lovely tasting and would have been perfect but it was so greasy the batter fell off. We were the only customers so no excuse. Let food drain more..

I came to Timaru to get a dog. Ends to quite late at the time when we picked up the dog, so I "takes near me" and selected the first 5-star business I saw. It turned out that it was just around the corner from where we were, so we moved out and the place was PACKED! This is obviously a good sign that the tucker is top notch! I can't remember what I ordered, but it was good. Chips were beautiful, perfect balance between crisp, crisp and fluffy potatoes. I had my fullness and then some! Will definitely be back next time we're in the 'hood!

Yummy well cooked food. Waiting time is a bit long, but that's because they're so popular. We have food from here for many months and they are consistently very well cooked.

Ordered fish and chips, very satisfied with the meal, frits were crispy and golden and not too oily, the fish was crispy and juicy, will be back!
