"This working bakery/café is the essence of some of the things I love most about Spain…its stylish simplicity leads you to a wonderful selection of pastries, breads, and freshly cooked lunch offerings, which you can eat on-site in its tiny indoor/open air patio. The building itself feels like it’s been there forever, but in a good way…note, that this café might be tricky to find, but it’s only about a 5 minute walk from the centre of Toledo. Back to the fare on offer – visited here three times in the space of as many weeks for coffee, cakes galore, and lunch…every time a perfect experience. This café sets the bar for all others…next time I’m in Toledo, this will be my first port of call."

"We had a great Sunday lunch in the garden of this delightful restaurant. The waiter was really friendly and helpful. The croquettes for starters were delicious two each were plenty. Our main courses of duck breast and cochinillo were superb beautifully cooked and presented. We had wines by the glass and they were excellent and very inexpensive. With coffees the total bill came to just over €70 that was really good value, in our opinion."
