"I thought I had a bad experience and posted a bad review. The chef then texted me privately. It seems like I totally misunderstood my experience, things were perfect and he actually is a nice guy who treated his customer really well. Excellent example how to do service recovery. This is the chef/manager for tougen. I'm just curious, why do you have to lie in your review. Are you afraid that the truth will make you look bad? So you have to lie to make me look bad? At what point did i tell you to leave?At what point did my server apologize to you profusely? My server is not embarrassed that he works here. And of course, you also forgot to mention that i did issue you the refund that you were demanding. And why didn't you bother to mention that my server offered to deliver the missing food to you to make up for a simple mistake. And believe it or not, i didn't even know you were yelling at me in the first place that's why you thought i was ignoring you.And my answer to you that day, regarding don't i think it should be free, for me. When i go out and eat. I will see what the situation is. I normally won't go in demanding for free food for just some simple mistakes especially since they offered to fix the problem. It's a shame that people try to extort other people in situations like this."

"I've been going here for years. The most humble and kindest family business owners you'll ever meet. The FOOD? Absolutely amazing. You can really taste the love and care they put in there food with every order. Never had a bad food or service here. "I've stopped here a number of times for a vegan doughnut when I've been in the area. I've tried a glazed, a couple filled, and a fritter. They've all been good. My favorite is the fritter. However, the Happy Cow description says eight varieties daily. Although I've not been there in the early morning, I've never seen anywhere close to that. At most I've seen three different kinds at a time. I still appreciate having ANY choices though!"
