Excellent food! Being there for about 4 years and eating is always good. My husband and I love it.
Standard Chinese food. I was in this restaurant a few times for lunch. It's a pretty normal place... Before the meal arrives, I was served oily chips and duck sauce. I had the General's chicken with roasted rice. For a $5 lunch it is not a bad portion size. Not so sharp, but... only roasted chicken in a soy sauce.
In our never ending search for good Chinese food in Western New York, we found ourselves at Peking Garden in the Town of Tonawanda. After seeing a comment on a friend’s facebook post, we found out they had an entire menu of Dim Sum that was made fresh in house . We’ve been looking for good dumplings in WNY for a while. Even though we enjoy ourselves the ‘dim sum’ menu at Miss Hot Cafe and Wok and Roll, the dumplings are usually frozen and imported. After trying the real deal in Pittsburgh last year , we’ve been itching for more. So on a very cold Saturday afternoon, Alli and I decided to see it Peking Garden could fulfill all of our dumpling dreams. Due to really crappy weather, we walked into a completely empty restaurant. Like most Chinese restaurants, Peking Garden looks unassuming from the outside. The interior was clean, with several large tables for groups to sit at. The menus we were given didn’t have a specific ‘dim sum’ section per se, but tucked behind the standard American Chinese, we found a Traditional Menu along with a ‘Chinese Starters’ to choose from that included all of the dim sum we saw on their website online. *After we walked out we realized there probably is a specific dim sum menu that we stupidly didn’t ask for, but after a quick website search, we were happy to realize almost everything on the dim sim menu they posted on their site is also somewhere within the menu we looked at in restaurant. Our first dish might have been the best of the meal, simple pork Fried Dumplings that were incredibly delicious. Served with a vinegar dipping sauce, the crispy dumplings were filled to the brim with ground pork. Normally, frozen pork dumplings have a pretty sub-par filling that is only enhanced from the addition of sauces. This pork had additional s
Don’t judge a book by its cover, food was bomb and I’d love to visit again. Best I tried from the dim sum menu: Stuffed eggplant- absolutely killer, it’s Asian eggplant (thin skin and no seeds) stuffed with minced meat, lightly battered and fried, with a dark savory sauce Salt and pepper squid- Better than calamari Honey spare ribs- sticky and melty No frills kinda place
