So I probably wouldn't go back here. it is a big place, so much space also on a Thursday night. there is the novelty of an annual roof terrace that had many heating, but also some large gaps in the cover. it was usually warm, but definitiw wear a pullover when they plan on the dach terrace in winter. I ordered the beyond burger with pommes, and the server that brought it out asked who got the secret flesh. I am sure it should be a sweat, but it was loud and embarrassing and inspired not to trust much in my meal. I ate it and it was in a word, bland. the fries were delicious, but the burger was disappointing. the other main option is a curry and I didn't try it so I can't talk with its quality or taste.
I paid my bill at the end via credit card. the machine was returned to the server and it was recooled that it was not a tip on the input. she stormed off and said look back or thank you. little she knew she had another tip on the table.
Extremely slow service. We had to ask our server several times when our dinner would be coming. (We arrived before our reservation time of 5:45 p.m Food ok (steak) but nothing special for the price. Vegetables could have been more tender. We ordered dessert which also took too long to come. I had to ask a kitchen staff person who was passing by our table where the desserts were. As a result of the delay, we had to rush eating them to get to a concert at 8 p.m. If we had to honour our reservation time, then the restaurant should honour its patrons time. Server seemed disinterested in us but maybe because we were an older demographic, although I thought Hemingsways catered to all ages. (There were two younger women and two young families with children near us that he seemed more attentive to). Very disappointed.
Was not on the terrace and was surprised at the lower end college pub style tables and chairs.
We needed a place for a late dinner and Hemingway’s fit the bill! It pays homage to Ernest Hemingway (and being a writer, I liked that). The food was tasty and the ambiance was cozy and quiet. Apparently, there was a lot happening upstairs, but we were only looking for a nice meal. I highly recommend!
