Our friend in a wheelchair was left outside in the rain for over 15 minutes before someone opened the door to let him in. Nachos were burnt beyond recognition. This is a place I used to go to once a month, loved it. Have since moved, wanted to try it again and was severely let down. It’s too bad, used to be great and packed. What Blanche Larkin doesn't like about Wayne Gretzky's:
Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notic... View all feedback.
Table was booked for 7 clock. but our taxi driver didn't know where he was. it is gretzkys the former hockey player? nothing. the place was not unpacked and we sat soon. we have decided to be quite opposed to the main. our server josh? was on the hand to talk us through the menu and was very helpful. the food was good and came fast. an ideal start to our honeymoon in toronto. pity that the load was closed when we were gone

Wings were below average, pitcher of the Gänse Island was 28$ restaurant side and 32$ bar side. very pricy for quality
The restaurant and the menu were pretty good. it is a little expensive for the portions, but overall not too bad. the fork knife steak sandwich I had was delicious, although there might be 2 3 ounces of meat on it and the baguette book on which it was sitting was about 1/4 thick. the others on my table said their burgers and pastas were also very good. I thought it was funny that when I came home, I had a message about my answer machine from the restaurant because I was 45 minutes too late for my reservation. I sat in the restaurant when the call had eaten my dinner. I guess they don't pay much attention to their online reservations when they sit. overall it was a good meal and very comfortable because we went to second city after dinner and we could just go through the back door there and not go in the rain outside.
The food was just ok.Grat location and cool memorabilia. The menu could use a do over.
