What Alva Friesen doesn't like about House Of Chan Steak'N Lobster Dining Lounge:
While we weren't disappointed by our dinners, my filet and my colleague's ribsteak both rated a "good not great". Steak was relatively flavourful but nothing special. On the bright side, the service was really good (very attentive). For similar $$ ($60ish per steak) you are much better off going to Zorro's or even Ruths (I actually prefer a Keg Baseball Sirloin - at half the price - over the filet I had at Chan). I w... The food here is great. It is pricey, but they do have many items that are not as expensive as the steak and lobster, which are amazing. Best lobster in the city and the steak is very good as well. Their Chinese food is also great and lower prices. View all feedback.

read moreHouse of Chan offers a dining experience that has received mixed reviews from customers. While some praise the delicious steak and lobster dishes as well as classic Chinese options, others have criticized the quality of the food, the prices, and the overall dining experience. The ambiance remains reminiscent of the original location, serving as a nostalgic Toronto institution. The service has been highlighted as both attentive and lacking, depending on the reviewer. Overall, if you're looking for a mix of steak, lobster, and Chinese dishes at a slightly higher price point, House of Chan might be worth a visit. However, if you're seeking solely authentic Chinese cuisine or top-notch quality, there may be better options available in Toronto.
