We always have a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It's family-friendly and particularly accommodating for small children. The service is consistently excellent—attentive without being pretentious. The food is delicious and creative, yet simple and not overly complicated. Their Thanksgiving dinner is exceptional! O B place is nothing too special. Their food is good but nothing has ever blown me away. Due to that lack of wow factor, this place isn't really that memorable. Once, I ordered their pasta with a bolognese sauce and it was salty, oily and subpar in general. Other menu items I have ordered fail to stand out in my mind.<br/ <br/ This place is a crowd pleaser and meant to appeal to a wide range of people. <br/ The desserts are their only saving grace.<br/ <br/ I treated my sister here for an afternoon tea. It comes with either tea or coffee and the chef's dessert platter. <br/ The chef's dessert platter came with carrot cake, s'mores brownie and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. We ordered double cheesecake because they were all out of lemon squares.<br/ The s'mores was their weakest link. The marshmallows on top were clearly store-bought. <br/ The white chocolate cheese cake was delicious. I really enjoyed how all the flavours came through wonderfully. <br/ Their carrot cake was topped with lemon gelato. It was a delicious flavour contrast and the lemon helped cut the sweet. I wasn't a fan of the grated carrot on top. It was a little difficult to eat and the lemon was overpowering with the lemon gelato.
The food is really nice and slick, and the ambience is upmarket. The service is decent while the staff is friendly and knowledgable. A good place to go to. I prefer the grill over here as compared to the Italian food.
Great service and great food. The mushroom soup is the bomb and they also have different specials from Monday to Friday.<br/ <br/ Some of the prices are a little too overpriced however their dessert is the bomb especially the cheesecake with phyllo pastry. A must have!!!!<br/ <br/ Like the interior as well and as the ambience in the restaurant. great place for brunch or just to have a nice drink.
Bayview Village isn't a place I would typically go to as the upper-middle class stores are way over my student budget. However, I have been eyeing this restaurant for a while and finally decided to try it out during summerlicious. We went for the 3-course summerlicious lunch. It was quite busy and packed at lunchtime Saturday, although this may be due to the summerlicious rush. As a result, service was slow for us given how packed they were, but otherwise staff were super friendly and responsive.<br/ <br/ In terms of the food, I was quite impressed by both the appetizers and main dishes. My partner and myself each tried a different item from the menu, so I got to try several dishes. I really enjoyed the crabcake and the salmon niçoise, both which were light and refreshing. For dessert, we got the popcorn ice cream and lemon cake. This is where I felt it fell a bit short. The ice cream reminded me more of smores ice cream and was not anything special. The cake, while having a good cake base and berry compote, was heavy on the cream cheese frosting, which was overly sweet and had a granular texture from the sugar not properly mixing.<br/ <br/ Besides the relatively mediocre desserts, my experience here was fantastic. Maybe I'll come back to Bayview Village more often!
I love a breakfast place with a beautiful decor and original recipes. Makes it worth spending the money for eggs and toast.<br/ From the moment you are walking toward the resto it makes you wish it was a beautiful day and you could sit on the patio (even tho it looks out on the mall parking lot). This place is beautifully decorated like a mix between Pinterest and Jamie Oliver. Perfect for a classy, comfy brunch. The staff are also very relaxed trendy in their dark blue checkered shirts and navy Dockers. All Very friendly and welcoming, our waiter was particularly knowledgeable, and not afraid to recommend items on the menu. <br/ Items on the menu have a modern twist to traditional breakfast ingredients and all sound very interesting an delicious. Makes it hard to choose just one item.<br/ We shared the chicken and French toast in waffle batter and a tomato sauce poached egg served in its Le Creuset dish. The breakfast was very delicious and would definitely recommend to those looking for a non traditional breakfast place. The fried chicken was over cooked and with the 3cm thick French toast, was very dry. Did not enjoy as much, but I can imagine that if not over cooked, would have interesting flavors with the caramel sauce and brandy maple syrup. The coffee was ok. The price tag...about $20pp.<br/ Would definitely recommend for a cozy classy Sunday brunch. <br/
