Porta Nova restaurant offers delicious new Portuguese cuisine, including one of the best steak dishes in Toronto and our signature dish, the Lil Frenchie. Our space can accommodate large groups for a coursed dining experience or family-style meals. We also have a semi-private mezzanine overlooking the dining room for exclusive corporate events, family gatherings, or milestone celebrations.

The summer menu at this Portuguese-style restaurant offers fantastic ideas from Chef Shane Carruthers, with excellent service and top-notch wine list. However, limited parking could be an issue. Although a true hidden gem, there were some inconsistencies with the food and service during the summer visit. While the food was very good, some experiences with service left something to be desired. Overall, the varied experiences suggest that diners enjoy the well-prepared dishes and excellent service, but be mindful of potential areas of improvement.
