Didn't stop in to eat, as it was the end of the day, and the whole maid outfit thing just seems like a strange vibe. The cheesecake though I got to go, and it was delicious. It's light and airy when fresh, more like a light cake instead of what you would normally expect from cheesecake. Even though light, a small piece can be quite filling. I would definitely go pick up some cheesecake again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Angel Cafe:
I went a couple of times to this place. The first maid was amusing with her little script ! The second maid wasn't one to interact. Food is ok, we had matcha cheesecake, chai latte and matcha parfait. All within expectations. Chai latte was flavorful and could be a little warmer or hotter...too lukewarm to my liking. Price a little pricey. Fun photo booth, with scheduled maid dancing which we missed. View all feedback.
I've seen the long line outside Uncle Tetsu's for long enough that I knew I wanted to try the cheesecake there. We decided to try the cafe instead because there was no line. We opted for their dessert platter which had a little bit of everything they offered. I got to say, I wasn't entirely impressed with the cheesecake. I also found the atmosphere on the weird side. It was like we had walked into some fetish store where all the waitresses were dressed in some school girl outfit with their butts hanging out. Definitely won't be going back.
On entering the cafe/restaurant, we were immediately greeted by a staff member with a warm smile. The sumptuous smell of the array of goodies being freshly baked wafted into the air, and drew my girlfriend and I deeper into the experience. The menu was simple and inviting. The feel for the place was kind of like entering an authentic shop in Japan. We ended up getting the classic cheesecake since this was our first experience. "Might as well try the original," we thought! We brought it to dinner with a friend - we all enjoyed Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake thoroughly! Thank you! We will definitely be back.
Interesting cafe menu with cheese cake as its centerpiece. Great idea to offer hot/cold option for all their drinks, instead of separate menus. However the main attraction (dance of angels) has been cut down too short. Around 10 to 15 minutes, really disappointing.
