"This place was very busy!! Food is great, lots of options to choose from. Ive heard their fried chicken sandwich is delicious. I wanted something healthier so I chose a salad. Tip: you can build your own salad if you order online! Lots of seating inside and out. Its attached to an outdoor mall with a ton of other options for food shopping!"

"It's a nice place to come out hang out, however, not ideal for remote work especially if you need to be on the phone. There's very limited power outlets for charging and music volume is far too loud and distracting to make calls with clients.Food: 5/5"

"I first heard of HomeState from a Buzzfeed Worth It video many many years ago and it has been on my list ever since. I love breakfast and I love tacos. Makes sense to combine the two! I haven't been to the other locations, but Playa Vista is a nice area and it's a lot easier to find street parking. There are some tables inside, and there's lots of outdoor seating. You order at the counter, get a number, and find a seat. Here's what we tried: Cookie milk iced coffee: It was a solid iced coffee and the concept of using cookie milk is very exciting, but unfortunately the flavor wasn't that strong Blanco (egg whites, shiitake mushrooms, monterey jack): I wanted something lighter to balance out the brisket and this was so good! This taco was definitely more stuffed than the other ones. Egg whites get a bad rep for having no flavor but this taco had a bunch of flavor. Only downside was that because of the mushrooms, it was pretty wet so it was a little difficult to eat. Perhaps not the one to order if you're trying to look cute on a date, but soo worth the mess. Pecos (eggs and brisket): Brisket for breakfast? Don't need to tell me twice. The brisket was very tender and paired super nicely with the eggs. Do yourself a favor and get the tacos with their house made flour tortillas. These were seriously some of the best flour tortillas I've had and if I could, I would love to just take home a giant stack of tortillas. I'll probably try some of the other locations that are a little closer to me, but this was a fantastic first experience and I'm happy to report it exceeded my expectations!"

"We had such an amazing experience here. Our server helped us pick out wines to go with our meals and the food was beyond any expectations we could have had. There was so much love in every dish. We started with the roasted eggplant small plate and their Zaatar fries, both were excellent. Main course we had the arugula pesto pasta dish and the seafood stew…we literally savored every bite. The pesto was SO bright and the homemade pasta was top notch. The stew had intense depth and the different seafoods were perfectly cooked. For desert we had the Rose Trifle that was delicious. This is our new favorite restaurant and we can’t wait to take people here!Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options!"
