I would have given this restaurant a 5-star rating if the service had been as good as the food. We visited around 3 in the afternoon and found the service to be below average. Both my partner and I have experience in the hospitality industry, so we understand some of the challenges that can affect service. What User doesn't like about Mimi's Cafe:
The staff at this restaurant, including the waitress, cook, and manager, was absolutely terrible. Our Mother's Day brunch was a complete disaster. The "Tomato soup" tasted like nothing but ugly Tabasco sauce. Our drinks and desserts were forgotten, and we were hardly acknowledged throughout our visit. Not only is the food fabulous the service is fabulous. We sit at the counter almost every Saturday and have the best service every time!
We love Mimi’s! Great food and service. The only complaint is that it’s always VERY cold in there! We even ordered our Thanksgiving dinner for 8-10 to take-out and it was absolutely delicious from start to finish!
I have been to Mimi's in Downey, Cerritos, Whittier, and Yorba Linda, never had a bad experience. In my opinion the food is very good. If Liz tells me the next time she will be at the Torrance Mimi's I will definitely try it.
Ramiro one of the staff is amazingly awesome. Everything he served and recommended to us was superb! And Ivan the general manager is also awesome and accommodating
We are regulars at Mimi's. We enjoy the atmosphere and décor very much. But most of all the friendly service and the excellent food!
