"Cold, drizzly day to visit Brixham it wasn't happening for us, then we stumbled across Port Espresso and the day got much brighter. Great coffee and cake in a fun, stimulating, eclectic setting. Every town needs a bearded baker, please consider relocating to Matlock in Derbyshire!"

"So sweet place with a very cozy and earthy atmosphere. coffee cake really came out fast and waitress was very friendly. chai cake was unusual (a lot less sweet than they expect, in any case tasted healthy, but tasty, and my decaf latte was excellent not too hot, so it 't bitter, beautiful and strong, good taste and not too thick/thin texture wise. not too much sitting opportunity, but it would be worth waiting for a table to be free!"

"Delicious. tastes like genuine, authentic Italian eating. the coffees are very tasteful, the lasagne is recommended definitiw and the pastas are very beautiful (but surprisingly fill)."

"Sorry but have to agree with the last review, 4 of us had a meal in January it spoilt the evening. Most things related to the previous review over done veg, underdone potatoes only enough for 2 literally tasteless."

"This restaurant is honestly the best place in Torquay. An absolute hidden gem, we had the best customer service experience of my life. All of the food was of outstanding quality, and The Mystery Dessert was an incredible experience! The menu was full of delights and the kitchen should be given the highest of praise. A waitress even brought over stain remover when a small accident involving chorizo oil arose, both waitresses were the very best at their profession. I honestly can’t applaud this place enough. I would love to see Small World grow to be a Torbay favourite, but then I’d probably be slightly mad at the wait times to get in. Please continue to be a brilliant example of what a great restaurant can be!"
