"I thought this restaurant would be a wonderful experience if I was looking for something I should eat while I visited my older elders in rockland county. my father was concerned to go after kentucky fried chicken, I never had a sway on her food choices, and I wanted to stop in a super market to get some hummus to dinner. on a laune I decided to drive a bit further on 9w to check a small stripe mall and to my surprise good roots was there and open for the next 10 minutes. it presents itself as an almost food juice place, but to my surprise the daily special was a vegan reuben! there is nothing I love more than a reub! the flavors were noticeable and the sweet potato friries were also fantastic. the menu had all my beloved comfort food and some special surprises to match the different cultures of the owners. the staff was friendly and helpful, the prices were reasonable and the foot was fantastic. as a vegan I want them to do so well so please if they are close to this place in rockland, maybe to drive on the cat kills, stop and try them out. x nikki"

"I drove out from Westchester mainly to try iGrill's Loco Moco, and it was well worth the trip. I also had some spam and eggs with jasmine rice, along with all the sauces they had (in the interest of science). Two were sweeter than the rest, but there's a good kick in the red and black lava. We were a total of seven family members and their friends from the area, and everyone enjoyed the chicken sandwiches and other things plus various bubble teas, which I didn't try. The couple running the place single-handedly could not have been nicer, and we hardly had to wait despite inundating them. I want to go back! The katsu and wraps look good too."

"The truck was at the Paramus Food Truck Festival over the weekend. Hubby's cousin is a picky eater, but he loved the Brisket Sandwich. Which says a lot : I got the Corn Bread and Carolina Bowl. I loved the Carolina Bowl, meaty, and the slaw was delicious, and I'm not a slaw person. My order was to go, so I ate it later and it was delicious. I will have to try it freshly made in the brick and mortar location. The Corn Bread was too dry for my taste, I had to warm it up and smothered it with butter to eat it... Will have to go to the brick and mortar location soon!"

"I was in visiting Spring Valley 9 years ago to revisit my childhood home. On my way out of town I saw the VEGAN sign but unfortunately the restaurant was closed that day. On 4/3/21 I did a revisit with my 96 yo mom. It was a great road trip, but this time the restaurant was open. I took a parking space across Church Street (Ave. . We went in, and received the most wonderful greeting and some taste tests for mom, who doesn 't eat Spicy . We ordered and it was excellent. Mom had yams, quinoa, mushroom stew, and Callaloo. I thoroughly loved the mushroom stew, the very spicy chicken jerk, curry chickpeas, red beans and rice and kale mango salad with watercress and we shared a Mac cashew cheese. It won 't be long before I return."

"A strange thing happened when i walked into this place. I was transported to Athens! I was greeted by a jolly man asking me what i wanted to eat. I was shocked to learn that i now speak Greek. I was surrounded by the unwashed masses also waiting for their food. But i was special, i sent a messenger pigeon ahead of my arrival containing strict instructions about the feast my brethren and i were expecting. Nevertheless i had to wait another 15-20 minutes even though i arrived at their specified time. I assume they had to fend off a Lion attack and lost a few of their men, thus the delays. Upon returning home with the feast, we all agreed that this was by far the best Greek restaurant the space-time continuum can provide. We only hope they can replace the colleagues lost to the lions and can prepare food in a speedier fashion next time."
