"We came by chance to the sun hotel when eating on a local list of top places in townsville. it turned out to be a local club/pub and a good one. the staff was really friendly and had a lot of personality and eating was great. it was april and kovid restrictions meant that masks were needed at standing or at ordering, but we could take them off to talk and eat at the table. my lambs (main) and sticky datum pudding (desert) tasted great and let me be full and satisfied. my two friends katie james and I had a beautiful, unforgettable evening."

"Went here for dinner with my partner on a romantic getaway to Townsville and couldn't have been happier. As a vegan and non vegan couple it ticks all the boxes for food selection options. I had a spiced cauliflower main and we shared a falafel starter and some mushroom dumplings that were just so well presented and delicately flavoured. Vegetarian options: 2 or three vegan options on each course. Food was excellent Service: Dine in"

"OK so here it goes, I’m a Melbourne boy so I know what good quality original Italian pizza is supposed to taste like. We originally wanted to dine in, but when we saw it was extra for a small pizza we decided to take...away. The menu was very limited for dine in as well. Considering we had pre selected our choices from the on line menu (all be it designated take away as there wasn’t a dine in on line menu). I don’t know why, the mark up is so much. Anyway, takeaway it was and the verdict, marinara pizza heaps of prawns (very generous) but tasteless Gnocchi Alla Rosa Small vegetarian (no olives) Total score Sorry but lacked flavour. I think the sauce on the pizzas is too bland and not enough garlic. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for over years but sorry guys, very disappointed with the flavour."
