Came in as soon as they opened wanting a steak! Hubby and I were told they don't serve steak until dinner time which was 6 hours away! Wth! It's a steakhouse! Should be able to get it no matter what time!!! That's the whole reason we came. Wish they would have written that on their website because we would have came back later. This place has amazing food like all of its amazing!!!! Definitely recommend. They have such a cool atmosphere and great staff. For a small town they are doing great. If you haven't been there yet I suggest you do.
I always try to stop here when traveling in the area. A terrific chop house ambiance worthy of any big city, but still small town friendly and inviting. Better beer selection than most restaurants in towns this size, and everything I 've ever had on the menu is very good. An excellent and surprising stop that I highly recommend.
Great place. Worth the drive. Best cheese curds EVER! Pieces of fresh curds, breaded and lightly fried to perfection. We've been there twice now and it's great quality food for a decent price. We will definitely be making a trip back. The cheese curds alone are enough to get you hooked on the place.
Their grilled pork tenderloin sandwich with hand-made potato chips is by far the best I've discovered in Iowa! Get to Traer and get you some!!!
