The service was great the food was wonderful the atmosphere was very homestyle the waitresses definitely treated you like family they wanted to have around the ceiling was very ornate it was surprising when you walk in from the street to see you know just the small door outside but boy when you come in they even have free pool tables and they give you dessert each meal I enjoyed my time at this tavern and can't wait... This historic UP tavern is a fantastic spot to hang out, with a laid-back atmosphere and delicious fish fry and burgers. It may not be fancy, but it's definitely worth a visit. View all feedback.

Oh my gosh, the burger I just ordered was incredibly delicious. It was huge and everything about it was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back again and again.
There was a small mistake, but they quickly resolved it. Overall, a nice local restaurant.
My husband really enjoyed the burgers at this restaurant! Even though I only placed one order for both of us, if the woman I spoke to on the phone is any indication of how the service is, I'm sure it will be great. She was very friendly while taking our order, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided an estimated pickup time.
If you are in the vicinity, make sure to visit this place. It is a fantastic restaurant/bar with a cool old building (be sure to check out the tin ceiling). The staff, especially Regan and Sarah, are incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The bar is well-stocked with a variety of classic beers and delicious local favorites (including cider). The food here is exceptional, exceeding expectations. We were lucky to visit on a Saturday when they had smoked meat on the menu. I tried the BBQ pork sandwich, which was tender and had a great smoky flavor. It was served with a delicious creamy coleslaw and beer battered fries that were out of this world. The combination of crispy exterior and tender potato inside was amazing. The meals and drinks here are tasty, satisfying, and reasonably priced. Don't miss out on this gem and make sure to visit.
