"I just had the best green chili cheeseburger I've had in my 60 year life. This place is more of a cross between an old fashioned diner and an italian restaurant than it is a BBQ joint. But the food was great like i remember from small-town diners of my youth. Aliscia was outstandingly attentive and helpful. The ice cream sundae was also great. Thanks. I'll be back."

"Christopher's EXCEPTIONAL customer service, knowledge of the menu, and great personality, made this an AWESOME experience. Visiting from Texas, we think that we KNOW what good Mexican cuisine is...Well, the salsa ROCKED, and the food was OUT OF SIGHT!!! We both tried fideo for the first time and it was very tasty! I had the Mission Mexican Taco Platter with Machaca (slow cooked for over 24 hours, tender, juicy brisket) as my protein choice (WONDERFUL) and the Hubbs had the Chalupa Platter (Stuffed sopapilla with meat, topped with chile verde, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream...Machaca was his protein of choice too...This place was awesome and we will be back if we are ever in this part of the country again! I don't know if Tacho Martinez who gave this place one star, two years ago, was just here on a bad day...but my visit was the complete opposite! We cannot wait to come back!"

"Ok... first off it's hit and miss when this place is open so good luck. When it is open the pizza is stellar.... I mean it's really good. I visit fairly often and last night the service was horrible. The staff is friendly HOWEVER several groups were seated before my party which is a no no in my book AND it took forever to get our order. In times past this never happened. I like this pizza place but the infrequent opening times and my experience last night soured me a bit. It's a small restaurant with a full bar and it's popular so chances of waiting are good. Just remember that. I DO think you should try this place tho."

"One of the few places to eat in downtown Trinidad, and you can immediately say how you walk in the door! It was in the capacity to wait a 30-minute until the rest of us went in the very cold road... so from the bar I went. Saw right down, tap my cap on the mounted White Buffalo right above me... then Shane, my Barkeep, immediately introduced itself. A good start... BTW, the place has two floors, a ground floor to eat, with its own bar, a pool table and a dart board! Very full, loud and festive! It was December 21, so to expect. I loved that there was a table, a front and a center, and a family of about 14 served and heard all the banter and sarcasm between generations! How funny! I chose the slowly cooked roast with engraving and carrots, potatoes, Braunschweig and Koleslaw. For dessert, (heat cooked), hot apple cake, with vanilla bean ice cream, drop with caramel! What a great comfort, delicious, hot and not salty! Loved the roast... almost as much as the apple crisp!"

"The only thing that prevents me from giving a 5 is that on the menu the choice of suppe or salats says, but if we have asked what the suppe was, they said we don't serve suppe in the summer. the food was excellent and the singing waiters were a real tasty bite."

"I’ll begin by saying I don’t usually post negative reviews but as someone who does read reviews, it’s only fair to post what happened. Myself and two companions wanted to try this coffee place who has mostly positive reviews overall. I am always down to try a locally owned coffee shop rather than an overrated National chain any day! We arrived at 4:50, with ten minutes to spare until they closed, according to their hours posted online. The person working was already locking the door. We weren’t 100% sure it was for this business as the outside is a little confusing. So we stepped to the walk up order window. She then moved from the door inside to the walk up window and told us that they’re closed. My companion pointed out the time, which at that point was 4:51. We were told that they are shorthanded and they’re closed. I wouldn’t say she was exceptionally rude, however the vibe was that she didn’t care she closed early and we needed to get lost. Here is the thing: I understand being short handed, especially now. Everyone is struggling to hire. What that means to me is that customers should have patience and appreciation for workers who are there and who care and who are doing their best. Businesses should honor their posted hours. We left and went to the National chain, who also only had one employee, who knocked out drink after drink for those ahead of us in line and then eventually our order. I would have loved to review the drinks from here but since the person working decided to close early, we didn’t have the opportunity. It’s likely another local business in Trinidad that won’t survive over time."
