This review is for The Sub Shop located inside the Whistle Stop, not the convenience store itself (the convenience store would barely earn 2 stars). We had low expectations for The Sub Shop since the previous Subway in this location had closed down, and the ambiance leaves much to be desired—it’s just a sandwich shop within a dilapidated gas station and convenience store. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwiches. The setup resembles a Subway, but with a better selection of sandwiches, slightly higher prices, and larger portions of meat and ingredients. The staff were also very friendly and efficient. We noticed a steady stream of locals coming in during our visit, which is always a promising sign. I highly recommend it as a great alternative to the two fast-food options across the street.
Kassierer was super attentive that we didn't get their names, but we know it started with a m.
Great stop! every time I go south to nm or az. always beautiful and friendly!
I’m consistently disappointed with this restaurant. They never have orange juice, beer, or hot food available. Each time I visit, it feels like they’re out of the items I need.
The bathroom was clean and well-stocked. There were no issues with the gas, and the staff was friendly. They also had a small display of Colorado souvenirs.
