"I must say value for money and quality within is a dying and rare commodity this day and age and in north Queensland is often as rare as finding that needle in that damn hay stack.. well I'm pleased to say these guys make a real effort that sense of pride and the love is noticeable within the food.. you can feel this business is family owned without anyone saying a word and this family does it well,, if i didn't know any better i would say its in there blood they do it so well,not only are the kebabs fully loaded with meat that has been allowed to caramolise allowing the full depth of flavour to be present but the salads are fresh and crunchy as one would expect and hope but often isn't the case ,topped off with home made sauces.. i have to say i live 35 klms away from this venue but i often make the drive because there isn't anyone else that comes to mind that makes something this healthy and does it this well ,, not to mention the portion,, got me hooked guys , keep up the good work .. "The Churrasco-style dining experience is simply put one of the best meals you will ever have. All I can say is, come here hungry. Churrasco is a centuries-old Brazilian style meal in which waiters and waitresses come around with long swords loaded with meat, and slice as much as you want right onto your plate. At Bushfire, they start by bringing you some delicious side items, including jasmine rice, potatoes au gratin, and salad. Soon after, the meat arrives. I was not prepared for how many different kinds of meat we would be getting. First, they brought grilled shrimp, plump and juicy. Then they brought beef, and the beef is arranged on the sword from rare to well done. It was tender and incredibly tasty. The beef was followed by sausages, pork, lamb, and chicken. I tried a sample of each, and all were amazing. It 's all you can eat, so you can ask them to bring back whatever you want more of. Staff are all very friendly, service is prompt, and the food is seasoned and grilled to perfection. Prices? Well, it 's not cheap. The Churrasco experience was $50 Australian, and beers are quite pricey as well. If you 're on vacation in Cairns, I recommend making this your one splurge night. Their menu has other items, including different kinds of steak. All in all, this place is quite deserving of 5 stars. Fantastic restaurant."

"My family celebrated my birthday at Tamarind and we had a fabulous time! All the dishes were sensational, I particularly enjoyed the baby barramundi which is served upright on the plate with a delicious tamarind sauce. The sides were very generous portions and all yummy. The most excellent part though was the service! The staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond in their interactions. I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to people enjoying a romantic date or a larger celebration like ours."
