"What a jewel! we, where we are looking for a place to eat, while taking the breathtaking views and passing this place, we almost did not come, but very glad that we did after we did not impressed by what we found on the marina. excellent portioning the eating was very fresh, we had steak with surfing and fishing and they could taste how fresh the products and proteins, where, aromen, where exceptional. though quite busy, coworkers, where super friendly and courteous and mealtime and drinks came out quickly! thanks for a great culinary experience. my only feedback to the restaurant would be to remove the backlit plastic sign, I think it approves the place / entrance given the excellent quality we have experienced."

"The menu contained escargots and that was what enticed me to give the restaurant a try. The service was lovely and both of my waiters were friendly yet professional. I ordered the escargots for entree and berry basil souffle for dessert and was glad that I didn't order a main because the bread that came with the snails already filled me up. The snails came with garlic parsley butter and it tasted divine! I wish the butter wasn't as salty though because it kind of overpowered the snail taste. The berry basil souffle was also delicious, risen perfectly and super airy. Might be a bit of a pricey lunch but if you're looking to try snails, this is a good way. Perhaps let the chef know your salt preference."

"This is a little pub with a big heart. Fantastic, friendly staff, Paddy (the owner) has a lifetime of stories and only too willing to regale you with a few, add a cold glass of Guinness and that makes for a perfect afternoon. Could it get any better? Yes… be there on a Sunday after 4pm and you have a group of musicians adding some lively Irish tunes to the atmosphere. Do yourself a favour and drop in for a visit."

"I popped in after a Thai massage in the city to top of my Thai Sunday with some Thai Takeaway. The gentleman who ran the restaurant was friendly and chatty and I was the first customer of the day. I ordered the seasoned tempura vegetables...(a first for me, very tasty) and the Thai Massaman curry. The curry had a slightly different flavour consistency to what I am used to but may be a more specific Thai recipe from a certain area, and was still most enjoyable (and the beef was very tender). I found the coconut rice was a little on the gluey side but still tasted fine with the meal. I loved the location next to the old Bungalow Post Office building, which still stands many years later, now as a private residence but with the ye olde Post Office signage still intact. A nice step outside my usual Cairns footprint. I’d be keen to head back again to dine in."

"We turned up yesterday and were 5 minutes early for our booking with our toddler. We were ignored by staff when we arrived. We were told very rudely by the staff member at the bar that they don't open until 5.30pm, 5 minutes later. We waited outside until 5.30 pm and were reluctantly greeted by a second staff member who asked us one question, but didn't seat us and was very unenthusiastic that we were there. A third staff member decided to seat us and was more professional but by that point we didn't want to stay because we felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed. We didn't mind waiting, just the vibe was really rude and unexpected. Went to another resturant along the Waterfront, where the service was fantastic and food was delicious."
