"Top Notch. A hidden gem in this corner of Virginia. Just go into the window and knock when you decide what you want to order. Then pay and enjoy the outdoor seats while you wait. Get your delicious ice cream around the corner when your order is called. The soft egg is very good and the milk shakes are delicious. 10/10 comes back when I'm in the area. Bonus: You can see local posts on the wall and TRAINS on the tracks!"

"This is a very cool place. It has the old time feel like you step back in time as soon as you walk through the door. They have excellent fried chicken, and the sides could be a meal in themselves. The food is buffet style, but the waiters are willing to assist and get you seconds if needed. If you go, be hungry and patient cause the food is good, but the lines can get long. Especially if there are tour groups stooping in. The Tavern is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday."

"Quick, hot, friendly. Okay, so I own a food/baby in the area. Finally, there was a chance to try this place and on a THURSDAY it was PACKED. The menu was huge as expected. The decor was not bad, the stands are painted and carved, Kinda cute. But the lighting is the same as you would find in a Walgreen;s at 2nd BRIGHT. Too bad they don't have a dimmer switch. The service was really fast and really friendly. You did everything right. Mom (86 years old) had chicken fajitas that were delicious. The pages placed in the tortillas were friendly, but were OK. Guac: Good. Salsa: Average. Beans and cheese: delicious and not overloaded with cheese (as most of us Americans want). Her bf had chiles pablanos, who looked like we had ordered them from a mex restaurant in the desert of Nevada (this is a compliment). I had Nachos tejanos. Good meat, shrimp, vegetables. A meal, no app. We'll be back!"
