"First of all I made my reservation on Open Table for PM weeks in advance. The day of the reservation the restaurant called and said they were not open at that time. Second changed our reservation to PM. We arrived at The restaurant couldn’t accommodate us minutes early. Really? Why don’t they open the bar earlier than the restaurant to accommodate early arrivals. Third the food wasn’t very good. The manager was very nice"

"New chef is very poor. He provides a chunk of pot roast without any sauce and calls it short ribs. I've ordered this dish for years and thought it the Lodge's best meal. The Lodge remains a good place to get a salad or hamburger, but it is no longer a place for fine dinning."

"Top notch brunch with a fire menu! The specials were great too! My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was to crispy and juicy! Hands down one of the best breakfast and mimosa spots. Omg the mimosa selection is HUGE! I loved the fresh guava! Service was phenomenal all the staff was extremely friendly and on top of it. Even the kitchen staff had a smile and Wonderful attitude."

"We were visiting Truckee for the holidays and were excited to see so many delicious-looking vegan options on the menu here! It's a cute place with super friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere (it is incredibly small). We ordered the Spudz, burrito, and burger off the vegan menu. The food came quite quickly and were hefty servings. Everything was okay, but not amazing. The burrito was the most disappointing, as it lacked any seasoning whatsoever. It also came with a large side of plain iceberg lettuce, for some reason. The Spudz were the most tasty dish we got, and were loaded with veggies. It was less of a scramble and more of a saute, though. Probably wouldn't go again, though we were happy the vegan options existed at all."

"Let me list the reasons why 1 star: #1. We got there at 1135am were told they didn 't open til 12. No offer to wait inside or you might want to wait here , or come back in 5minutes . We went to a store nextdoor got back at 1155am to see a 60 person line. Hello, you could have helped us with a tiny bit of insight!! #2. The line starts at the entrance goes left down the sidewalk. People walk up from the right start a new line going right. What the F...!! Hostess comes out for the 5th time taking people from the left, seeing now 50ppl lined up left, 5ppl on right side says who 's next, guess who says they are next, (HINT the A-hole pictured below!!! A good hostess would have firstly been there to see, and or told people to line up left, or told people OBVIOUSLY cutting the line to go to the back of the line!!! #3. Menu is very small in the sense that entrees are either Mac n cheese or pizzas. Prices are Outrageous. Mac n cheese $19 for a 6inch dish. We got an $8.50 hot fudge sundae too we will let the pic below speak for it 's tiny size.. maybe 3 bites!!! ²#4. Waitress asks my wife if she wants a box for her half dish of mac while she is still eating, maybe 15min after receiving it. Geeze, you want us out of here to seat the table again. 30minutes in line 15min eating...!!! People must like this. They were busy, and obviously had a line. But we wanted people to at least make an informed decision. Had I read a review like this, I would have known what to expect, or maybe not come here..."

"Outstanding food, staff, ambience. We had a very romantic dinner upstairs with the ravioli and salad special which were fantastic. Had an excellent Oatmeal Stout and classic Old Fashioned. Staff was professional, attentive, genuinely friendly."

"Me and my buddy were just trying to get a beer and get out. Bartender said he would be right with us, but we waited 15min and nothing, so we just left because we couldn't get his attention again. It was busy and the staff seemed over whelmed. Bar area needs a space with no chairs so people can walk up and order drinks. The whole bar area was packed."
