"I wanted to eat with my best friend. She's never been here. We ordered to share the golden Californian role and separated it got the lobster crunch roll and I got the Californian role. First, the Californian role has good for a typical role and fresh! Secondly, this golden Californian role is delicious! We both loved this one the most! I didn't try the lobster crunch, but she said it was good. We're going back to get more!"

"We originally saw this place reviewed on TikTok and couldn't wait to try it. We drove 1 hour to get here and the restaurant did not disappoint. We went on a Friday around 1 pm. There is street parking in front of the restaurant but also a large parking lot just a ways up the sidewalk, which we parked in. We entered through the bar and were immediately greeted by friendly, beautiful faces (all the girls working were so pretty). The bar was small with bar seating and a few tables. It had a nice dim, ambiance and looked like it might be a vibe later in the day. We were seated by the hostess in a booth in the main part of the restaurant. There was no wait at this time. The decor transported me back to the 90's when I wore dickies and my initial belt buckle . A picture of scenes from Mi Vida Loca gave me some pleasant nostalgia. The music was on point and tied the whole theme together. Our server Arleen was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. My fiancé and I are both pescatarian and there were a number of things we wanted to try. The menu had several plant based and vegan options too. We started off with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was nice and fresh with the perfect amount of heat. The chips were light and crispy but could have used some salt. There were no s&p shakers on the tables but we still enjoyed the chips. We ordered the tuna empanadas with chimichurri dipping sauce and a chili relleno plate (rice+beans). The empanadas (x3) were so light and flakey. The tuna was moist, flavorful and not overly fishy. They paired very well with the chimichurri sauce. We literally ate and left no crumbs. The relleno was cooked perfectly. Thin layer of egg coating, juicy, succulent poblano stuffed with Oaxacan cheese and topped with a delicious tomato sauce plus Mexican creama. The beans and rice were also well cooked and seasoned. Next we ordered 3 mix and match tacos. We had lobster, Baja fish and blackened swordfish. All three tacos were amazing. My favorite was the lobster taco which had fried leeks on top. They had a great list of alcoholic drinks however it was a dry visit for us and we opted for horchata instead. The horchata was yummy. Not too sweet and more of a homemade flavor. I wrote this review and few days later and we are still talking about how good the food was. We definitely enjoyed the experience/food and will be back soon. Don't sleep on La Unica!"

"Chili verde burrito is excellent , but messy when wet ... love the fire roasted flavor of the red Chips and Salsa (med-hot) wish it was more chunky , love the creamy green salsa it not quite as hot , both pair we w the guacamole ... This Classic Burrito is definitely our go to when ordering! Oh btw the burrito is huge ! Get 2-4 meals out of it"
