We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy and spacious enough for 2 people a piece. They have fine restaurants service, Starbucks coffee, etc. Would Definitely recommend to friends u0026 family. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Trumbull Marriott Shelton:
This place is okay at best. We've stayed at many Courtyards by Marriot and this one will not be one we revisit. The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly, there are stains in the walls and carpets, and holes in the hallway walls that have either been poorly repaired, just poorly covered over or not repaired at all. It's all too bad because the location is fantastic. View all feedback.
Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. They compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you will love it I 'm sure! n nShoreline has been amazing to my boys! My sons love their private lessons. Always excited for their next lesson. The staff are very friendly and professional and the environment is clean and calm.
This Marriott was the worst Marriott I ever stayed in. Walking in from the outside you could see it wasn’t being maintained, no landscaping and leaves everywhere. Everything about the hotel was dated. Nothing was maintained: carpet is coming up, wallpaper is peeling in the rooms, multiple stains on furniture. The health club is abysmal. Two very small rooms: one with cardio and one with weights from the 1970s. The pool is old and small. This hotel has never been updated and it’s absurd that they charge money to stay here. I have stayed in hundreds of Marriotts and in general would recommend most, this one has been seriously neglected.
So many bad things about this hotel. It is hard to believe it still has the name Marriott name associated with the hotel. First, the rooms are filthy. They are old, in need of fresh paint, the vents look like they either dirt or mold in them. Second, no housekeeping service as they do not have the people. No room service. Towels are worn out and old. Drain did not work in my room. Elevators are dirty. Buttons with the floor numbers are turned upside down. They are a mess. Front door is under construction yet no sign to guide you to where to park to enter for check-in. The one nice part of the hotel were the bartenders. They were extremely friendly. Made it easy to sit at the bar instead of a dirty room. I do hope they do the necessary upgrades and construction to make this hotel a real Marriott.
The room was straight gross. Hair all over the bathroom and some on the bed, and rust all over. Walls were paper thin, and could literally hear the people in the room next to us peeing. Do not recommend at all. Restaurant staff was great, probably the only good part, front desk was completely useless, watched them decline a couple a room they reserved and didn't do a thing to help them. Very outdated as well, tv would randomly turn off(happened twice in 30 min)and safe straight up didn't work at all.
It's an old hotel, but my room was modern and comfortable. The staff was attentive and efficient (quick check in and check out). Breakfast buffet is very good and worth the extra cost. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay there again.
