It was a very quiet evening ,although things did get a bit busier later on. The person on reception was lovely welcoming, friendly and efficient. Wasn’t so sure about the gentleman who took our drinks order who maybe seemed a little offhand ... The new chef Dorian Janmaat impressed guests with delicious food even without a full team. The setting and food quality were consistent with previous visits, although the service was slightly less polished. Overall, the experience was first-class with attention to detail and traditional service approach. Definitely a recommended dining spot in Cornwall.
If you find yourself in Mawes (which is not a large place!), this hotel is a great spot to grab a coffee or a meal with perfect views overlooking the harbor.
