The last time I was there I got the Big Baker. It was a bit disappointing as there seemed to be a good bit of pork fat in the barbecue.

"It is a strange mix of semi-authentic Chinese food with flavors from different provinces and newly thoughtful dishes for the, ah, American palate. Order can become quite confusing without the use of images or sufficient description to know what you get in, so it is a bit of a mixed bag without any pre-knowledge. Let's start with the good one! Shoot for the roast duck, Char sui pork, chow fun, Mapo Tofu and all with black bean sauce if you 're looking for aromatic and interesting flavors. Excellent value and good food! Despite personal self-discovery with this restaurant that really guarantee 4 out of 5 stars above! ... Everything falls apart when it comes to their Americanized offers but, with textures and flavors stuck in 1970's Americana version of Chinese foods with thick corn starch sauces, excessive sugar and pancake style fried foods. These cheap and fast bastardizations are 2-3x the price of the more authentic tariff. You might be very aware of a clear menu difference between what is Americanized vs. not; personally, the misleadingly named salt and pepper shrimps is especially deficient, and was my break point with this restaurant. There is nothing quite like a healthy bunch of unseasoned raw flour pastry and cold seafood bits for a cool $20.00 to make your life choice rethink. Maybe this is your bag. Personally, I will begin to make the ride back to Red Pearl, Great Wall and Mr. Chen's, just to avoid the falling knits of food for the meat and three heart attack quantity made."

"I’m still trying to figure out what happened today. No lunch menu offered at 1pm. Not at all crowded but painfully slow. No snapper after ordering. None of the usual personal touches from waitstaff. Only one women’s toliet with no tissue.I’ve been here dozens of times and it is always excellent.I tip generously and I am not demanding. I’m disappointed I recommended Half Shell to my family today."

"Terrible service!! Received my order with the lids not properly closed or package. It resulted in my food wasting out in the bag. When called to complain, I was getting the run around. So I headed back up there to the store and only talked to a worker. The owner would not even come talk to me face to face. Only saying that they are not responsible for the food once the customer has it. I understand if a refund could not be done. Replace food that was not properly packaged. Now I’m out of my money!"
