I certainly heard mixed reviews prior to my visit to Mexicali Blues. I came in mid afternoon on a Saturday. The hostess greeted me as I entered. I advised her that I was just going to grab a seat at the bar. It wasn't crowded at all. The bartender was spot on. He took my drink order and gave me a food menu. Good customer service throughout! I would have given less stars, but the staff was friendly and the watermelon margarita was delicious! eating was very disappointing. I ordered the guacamole, carnitas taco and chicken tinga taco. the guacamole needed salt. it was very spoiled. the blandness continued with the carnitas and chicken tinga. the flesh was not only dirty, but watery?!
