"Really nice café and store. Very unique and rustic. Food is always different every time you go in which is a nice treat. I love visiting this store. However, I only gave four stars as the prices are very high for what you get. It’s in Tuam, not New York."

"Went for a family meal as we were looking forward to trying the restaurant since just prior to covid, stood at the entrance for 5 minutes without even being acknowledged, eventually just walked in only to be rudely ushered into a corner whilst waiting even more for a table. We were seated and served drinks which we had to re-order as there was no stock of what we were told was available. Ordered our food, in all honesty the fish we were served was good, unfortunately though the chips were oily and under cooked and the salad was limp and tasteless, my wife had a curry that was acceptable but she sadly didn't finish and daughter had a pasta dish that looked flowery and tasteless, she didn't eat most of it as it was simply not good. On top of this the restaurant was filthy, tables were left uncleared for long periods of time and when eventually cleaned were re-set with food particles still left on them from the previous guests, there were also food pieces scattered all over the floor and the chairs were not wiped at all and left me feeling sticky when i got up. It goes without saying that a H&S inspector would shut the place down and it further doesn't surprise me that their main clientele seem to be pensioners that wouldn't easily notice the sad state of the place... I will NOT be back and would NOT advise anyone to attend this restaurant."
