I'm sorry, I do not understand the hype. I think it's "Okay" Mexican / Tex Mex at a reasonable price, but nothing above average. I have given El Rio Verde a few attempts and did not have been impressed at all. I find her food to be gloomy, and lacks some kind of taste. Your salsa is like aqueous tomato sauce. While some diners were disappointed with the lack of authenticity in the dishes, such as flautas made with flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas, others praised the flavorful and authentic food, especially the beef fajitas. The prices were generally considered fair, making it a budget-friendly option for those looking for a casual dining experience. Despite some inconsistencies in taste and menu offerings, the overall consensus seems to lean towards a positive dining experience at this local spot.
