Mecca Coffee Company - Tulsa

I was so excited to come here for the first time after hearing all about their tea. I brought a friend of mine, and the entire time we were inside the store we were followed around by one employee who treated us as if we were thieves. I bought some tea regardless, but there was no friendly conversation from this woman at all. Absolutely worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. If you’re not a middle aged, upper middle class white cisgender woman, then you’re treated like filth. Don’t waste your time, and avoid this place AT ALL COSTS.

The bad staff-specific reviews for this place are legitimate. I've only gone in here a few times, because their loose leaf tea is very good for sure, but wow their service is literally the absolute worst. I do not typically go out of my way to review particularly bad establishments, but do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. This one is kind of a nightmare.

I go for the infused oils and vinegars. Garlic infused EVOO is a game changer in the kitchen. If you like seafood or homemade salad dressing the vinegars are unparalleled. We drive 4 hours to get to Tulsa and Mecca is ALWAYS my first stop. In addition to this they also have delicious coffees and teas, tumblers, specialized kitchen items, aprons, trays etc.

If you are still steeping tea in the bag, you really need to make the switch over to loose leaves. The taste is unparalleled. I typically add honey and, on occasion, milk.Mecca is where I purchase my products. It is my go-to haven for teas, coffees, vinegars, and olive oils! They have some samples and a very helpful staff. I even acquired a couple of simple recipes from one of them!

First timer and was looking for some help... was RUDELY rushed . It's one thing to be rushed, which is totally fine by me but don't be rude. I'm a well paying customer and always kind. That's only reason I'm writing this bad review. If you don't have the patience then get out of business that deals with people.
