"We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again."

"What a joyful experience I had, yesterday, at the Toad! I think they call this a hidden gem. I had a couple of pints and some delicious fish chips while sitting at the bar. A very friendly and accommodating pub with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Great conversation with the local patrons and Meghan, the manager and bar tender, was a really lovely person."
