"Beautifully decorated, lots of seating, comfortable couches, large inside dining area. It was pretty busy when we went. Staff is polite, friendly, and efficient. The scones and muffins were very tasty. The reason I only give it 4 stars is because the coffee was not that good, has a weird taste to it. But that's my personal opinion, others might like it. Overall, great place."

"This is an upscale, yet casual restaurant in downtown Tuscaloosa. It was rather crowded, surprisingly since it was a Wednesday night and early summer. There was a 30+ minute wait for a table and, unfortunately, no seats available at the bar so we went down the street for a drink while we waited.This restaurant was very cold, temperature-wise with air-conditioning and also monster fans above. Regrettably, this really dampened the experience we had because of the cold air blowing on us and throughout the restaurant. I'm sure this is very comfortable for the staff, but not so much for the diners as I could tell many other people were quite uncomfortable.I had the Snapper Au Gratin with a side of broccoli and an extra side of jalapeño hush puppies. Everything was good, except for the hush puppies as they were a bit over-fried and were dry with little flavor.We both wanted a dessert, but couldn't stay in their super cold environment any longer so we got some dessert to-go. I got a slice of the Bananas Foster Cheesecake and it was excellent!Food was great, service was ok (it was our server's first day), but Management: stop freezing out your customers!"
