"Very ordinary exterior does not reflect the great food served here. Staff are very friendly and everything we had was delicious and homemade. If I had one tiny criticism it's that the vegetarian option (bean burrito) was a tad too expensive at $25 around $20 would've been more representative. Having said that we'd definitely go back!"

"Tried their Tom Yum soup and the green curry, both served with a small portion of steam rice. Loved both the items, you could tell it was made using authentic ingredients. The portion sizes maybe questionable for the soup at $25.00. Given the price fluctuations now a days it is kind of expected that the prices would be inflated along the tourist route, however after doing an entire circuit from Christchurch to Queenstown and Te Anau, Milford sound and invercargill, dunedin etc it is safe to say that this was the most expensive Tom Yum soup in a non 5 star hotel I have ever tried. The service was good though, they check if you want the spice levels altered between mild, medium, hot and Thai hot! As someone who can handle Indian spice, we ordered Medium spice but could have easily gone for hot. Wouldn't say it was good value for money but the taste and the service along with limited options for dining in this area makes it worthwhile. Give them a go!"

"Friendly banter and a genuine chat. The locals love seeing travellers and are open to a laugh, some advice and a good chat. Really enjoyed the visit. Good portions were good, pricing was a little high but for us, the service made up for it."
