"Absolutely stunning meal with the most delicious view of the lake. Open late on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner. The co-owner, from Ireland, is the nicest person ever and this was by far the healthiest and nicest food we’d had in long time in Central America."

"Nice restraunt with quite some vegan options. Thanks to the previous reviews I knew that I had to order my curry without cilantro (I'm one of these people:D . I liked it a lot! Service was good and friendly. It's a very simply place but still cozy and inviting. On the main level are many, many outlets:"

"A special place right in the heart of Pana. I love them playing American classic rock as well as Guatemalan rock artists. Fun atmosphere and great live music! Also they have Tshirts for sale and they are soooo comfy!"

"The menu is quite extensive here, most dishes can be prepared vegan on request. We tried the Hunan wok and the nasi goreng, both were nice but could have been punchier on the flavor. The tofu satay sticks were great though. Would love to come back and try the potsticker dumplings which are apparently well known at this spot."

"On san pedro de la lago we spent several days enjoying the lake and one of the restaurants that we visited the most was the jakuu restaurant, a small restaurant of quiet and relaxed atmosphere located in the lower part of the village, playing the lematitlán school and just 10 minutes walk from the area of the dock unlike other bars and restaurants of san pedro in which you can see the inside of the place while you were usually working on the street quite typical."

"I was excited to try Il Giardino after reading the positive reviews. What a disappointment. To be fair, we had a group of nine, which is often a challenge for village restaurants. Also, it was our server's first day. Some people in our group were quite satisfied with their meals. Two of us ordered the breakfast burrito without eggs. The menu said it came with either fruit or salad. It never occurred to us that they would serve salad instead of fruit at breakfast, but they did. The tortilla was so overcooked, it was more like a cracker. The vegetable filling was mostly sautéed peppers with two tiny bits of zucchini and a little smear of black beans and avocado. They were not willing to change the salad for fruit when it came out, though they did offer some extra sauce for the burrito. Instead of the nice warm enchilada sauce that was on the burrito (though only a small spoonful) they brought cold tomato sauce. Awful. The first cup of coffee was excellent, though my almond milk was gritty. Subsequent cups of coffee were hardly more than tepid coffee-flavored water. I might be willing to go back (without a group) and try other items. A friend said his veggie burger was excellent, but his cappuccino was sugary and terrible. When I told the server about my disappointment over the salad and cold tomato sauce, she listened but offered no apology. Since it was her first day, she might have brought over someone with more experience there. Breakfast for two of us cost Q130--an outrageous price for what we got."

"EDIT: Make sure to bring cash, this place do not take credit or debit card. I liked this place, it is in front of the lake, good ambiance music (reggae roots and soft rock), and great food. Happy hour from 6pm to 8pm (drinks half price), and some daily specials on drinks as well. Ceviche Sublime is recommended, it is a mixed of all other ceviche. Good portion and could be used as a meal for one person. THEY ACCEPT CASH ONLY"

"The hummus plate here was beautiful. I also had a coffee and tea was fine. I would come back 100% if I could get a place up with the view."
