"Visited Fat Mermaid on a Thursday evening. They had decent food, affordable cocktails and pretty interior decor which made it very instagrammable. That said, the main highlight of our experience were the acoustic live band and impeccable service. The customer service provided by one of the staff, Ayu, was amazing. Ayu gave good recommendations, checked in from time to time to see if everything was alright, and even made sure to remember our names. Her great service definitely made the night better. Overall it was a great experience at Fat Mermaid which I'd recommend visiting, especially when there's live band too."

"Had the best day ar Jungle Fish, service was amazing along with the food and all the cocktails…. The setting made it even better from day to evening wouldn’t recommend swinging day beds if you are staying all day though (motion sickness) but would highly recommend as a whole"

"My fav place in Ubud! Friendly local staff,always kind and smiling,good vibe,and food is just fabulous! Hard to choose my favourite but you can’t miss this place and their Nasi Goreng or Yellow Mellow breaky bowl! Oh it’s just so yummy those are first things I ordered every time I visit Ubud and stay in one of villas close by between rice paddies : Very relaxing atmosphere to just chill out,read a book and write a diary,meeting likeminded people and enjoy divine food! "From all of the 5 star reviews I was expecting premo veg food. I do not agree. Out of the 7 dishes I tried, I only enjoyed two. The dishes didn't seem fresh and they were lacking in flavor. Also contrary to the multiple signs saying 100% vegan, there were some desserts that were not. The dinning area was very crowded and hot. I really don't like giving veg restaurants bad reviews but this was not good in my opinion. Updated from previous review on 2021-08-03"
