"Milk ice cream is a frozen dessert from cream, with additional flavors and sweets. This mixture is rapidly frozen while it is stirred[1], so that large ice crystals do not form. Some ice cream is made with carrageenan, a rubber found in seaweed so it is not sticky. There are many different aromas of ice [2]. Ice has often added things for taste, such as chocolate chips, nuts, fruits, keksteig, candy, sauces or small sweets. Traditionally, the three most common flavors are vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. There are ice flavors that are very similar to French vanilla, vanilla beans, dark chocolate, chocolate chip and strawberry cheesecake. Chocolate chips or small pieces of dark or white chocolate are a frequent addition to ice cream. Three common chocolate chip ice creams are chocolate chip (from vanilla ice cream), mint chocolate chip or mint 'n chip (from peppermint, spearmint or cream de menthe ice) and chocolate chip. Peppermint ice without chips is also a common taste. Many ice creams contain fruit. Besides strawberries, fruit aromas are common cherry, raspberry, blackberry and peach. Some citrus fruits, such as orange and lime, are made in Sherbets instead of ice. Nut flavours include butter pecan, butter almond (both containing vanilla or caramel ice cream with nuts), pistachios and peanut butter. Coffee (mocha, cappuccino, espresso) and caramel (English toffee, butterscotch, rum) are also common ice flavors.
